"Two years ago, we did two float trips with you and your brother, Miles, on the Madison, one with my son and one with my brother-in-law. We are still talking about what wonderful experiences those were. I couldn’t believe how hard you guys worked and the service you provided. When Miles pulled a propane burner out of the boat and made us a grilled chicken Caesar salad on a sandbar in the middle of the Madison, it about blew me away. I tell everyone who is interested that your guided trips are the best value for money of any recreational or service dollars I have ever spent."

"We had a WONDERFUL time on our fishing trip, thank you for all of your help setting it up. Everyone caught multiple fish and my 8 year old nephew loved it. Both Doug and Bill were fabulous--not only were they extremely friendly and fun to be around but also very helpful and informative in helping us have a fun and successful day. Even the lunch break was great! It really was the perfect way to end our trip and might have been our favorite activity of our entire trip. We were so thrilled with the trip and are very happy we booked through Montana Angler! You are welcome to use any of the above as a testimonial on your site and I've also attached two pictures."

"I just wanted to provide a little feedback on our trip this week. First, the trip exceeded all expectations. My 10-year old son and I caught a fair number of fish including one very nice Rainbow. It was a wonderful day on the Yellowstone River and pretty much the best way to spend eight hours that I can imagine. Our guide, Mike Mansfield, was a perfect fit for us. He was incredibly patient with us rank beginners. In fact, he has the patience of a saint as we tangled, snagged, and bumbled our way down the river, losing flies and missing fish all the way. He is a very easygoing guy and really pleasant to spend the day with. With 20/20 hindsight, it seems like every fish I caught was 100% based on his instruction: a well-placed cast in front of the boat (boy I had trouble doing this for some reason) and up against the bank, a proper mend, a proper set across river, and the fish would come. Some more practice and I bet we triple the number of fish caught; unfortunately it's hard to put it all together when starting out. Despite our constant shortcomings, Mike was spectacular all day and he was excellent with my son who ran out of fishing gas about halfway through. I seriously would not change a single thing. Thanks so much…we will be back."

"My first experience fly fishing was with Brian and Miles McGeehan in Bear Trap Canyon on a day when the water level spiked to extremely high levels from an unexpected release from Ennis Lake. Despite the difficult conditions, Brian was patient and confident and I not only came through the class V rapids in the canyon safely, but I also discovered a new hobby. I enjoyed the trip so much that two weeks later I got my son out on the water with the Brian who then had two rookies in the same boat. Again, he was very patient and confident. Three years later, my wife started her fly fishing experience with Brian in the Bear Trap. Thanks to Brian and Miles, fly fishing has become a family affair. We cannot wait until our five year old is big enough to learn the ropes from Brian and Miles and the other Montana Angler fly fishing guides."

"Just got back home to the over heated LA. Already miss Montana so much. I wanted to take a minute to just let you know how much we enjoyed our trip. Doug and Slade were just amazing, they made it the most incredible experience ever !! I wanted to learn how to fly fish but was a little nervous about it. They both made it so easy for us, all three of us just love them both. I would highly recommend them. The resort was great to, I especially loved leaving my door open throughout the night to hear the river and enjoy the fresh cool air !! I hope we can do this again."

"I sure am glad I called to talk to you. The Boulder River Outpost was fantastic. Miles and Simon kept us entertained, fed, pampered, and most importantly hooked up. Thank you for your help and assistance in setting it up, appreciate all your efforts."

“My wife and I have been fishing the Madison River and the surrounding waters with Brian McGeehan as our fishing guide for the last four years. As the founder of the Angler’s Workshop (a large fly fishing and rod building supply company), I am very familiar with the fly fishing industry and have been fortunate to have fished with numerous fly fishing guides over the years. I can safely say that Brian is the best guide that we have ever fished with. His patience, knowledge, passion and work ethic are beyond comparison. A trip with Brian goes far beyond simply catching lots of fish (and big fish!). He makes every effort to ensure that we have a great time on the water and fully experience the greatness of a Montana fishing trip. Several times he has come armed with binoculars, bird books and spotting scopes when we have fished some private ranches with him so that we could appreciate the interesting bird life that accented the monstrous trout that swam below. On several of our trips Miles has also joined us while guiding our friends and he has been equally impressive. If you want to experience all that Montana has to offer and meet some wonderful people in the process, I highly recommend spending a few days fishing with the McGeehan’s!”

"Just returned from a week vacation to beautiful Montana. The Rainbow Lodge was fantastic, Jose and the others were the best. Met so many wonderful people, Dee, and Bea (guide to the Big Sky) were great people. Now down to the meat of this email. My guide, Matt Morris was absolutely the best. He was very patient, very skilled and most of all a fantastic person. He put me on big fish the first day, we went from very challenging water the first day to floating days two and three. Got my wife, Fredia, to go on the last day and she caught big fish. Matt helped my fly fishing, showed me many techniques which will make my future fishing more enjoyable. I learned some of his secrets which I have sworn never to reveal.. Matt introduced me to his office which I have to say makes me extremely jealous. What views, what a life. Montana's open spaces awed me and this vacation was a spiritual experience. When I say this has been the vacation of a lifetime I truly mean it. I really did not want to come home... I felt like Montana was home for me.. Thank you so much for setting everything up, everyone and everywhere you arraigned for us to be is beyond words. Again, thank you, Jose, Dee, Bea, and most of all, Matt for the experience, the memories and the friendship. We will be back."

"Add this testimonial to your website for me. This is the second fly fishing trip through Montana Angler that I have gone on with two of my grandsons. 3 years ago, Casey and I went to the Yellowstone lodge and had Chuck Borg as our guide. He was so knowledgeable, trained my grandson, spent time with us for three days and we caught so many trout and had a ball. Just last week, I took another grandson, Corbin, to the Madison River Lodge for 3 days and had Chuck Borg meet us as our guide again. The lodge was nice and the chef, Simon, actually called me in advance to review my serious food allergies and made sure all the meals were safe and well prepared. Chuck again was the best guide. He taught Corbin so much about fly fishing and Corbin caught so many fish. The weather was very cold and raining and when Chuck asked us if we wanted to go back to the lodge - my grandson said NO - he didn't care because he was having a ball. As always, every detail was taken care of and we loved our 3 days on the Madison and on the lake. My next grandson will be ready in another year and we will return for the third time with Montana Anglers. We can't say enough good things about Montana Anglers. If you want a terrific experience, book your next fly fishing trip with them."

"I fished the Yellowstone with Brian during the summer of 2008 and it was the best day of fishing and “catching” that I've had in 20+ years of trout fishing. It was a hot, low water season and we had to stop at 2:00 p.m. to protect the fish from warm water. In spite of the fishing restrictions, it was a 30+ fish day with probably 20-25 rainbows over 16 inches, 12-15 over 18 inches and one lone 19 inch brown with many, many that were hooked, played, and finally got off before we brought them to net/boat. It was the best float day I've ever had. Thanks!"

"I had the time of my life!!! Even though the trip was only 10 days long, it seemed like a month because I was so far out of my office environment! It was wonderful. The guides, the scenery, the wildlife, the water, the fish and the air was worth every penny. I cannot wait to do it again and it is going to be my destination vacation from now on. My memories will stay with me until the next time. Even though I am a novice Fly Fisherwoman, I was told that I did pretty well and caught about 15 fish all in all. (Let's not discuss the ones that got away!) It was great to be transported to another world. I recommend Montana Angler highly, it was a terrific experience. My guides were knowledgeable and treated me like a queen! They spoke to the fish and the fish listened!"

"The Double T is one of those rare perfect places in the world, where the incredible natural beauty (truly staggering and inspiring) of the place is perfectly matched by the utterly relaxed (yet quietly luxurious) atmosphere. From reading on the cabin porch as the river ran past to walking along the many paths, through groves of Aspens, where every turn brought a new, even more beautiful view into focus, the ranch allowed me to find perfect solitude. But, the big green barn was the real heart of the ranch, a gathering place for an afternoon chat and the center of the many raucous, hilarious and truly delicious evenings. I can't (and don't want to) get the Double T out of my mind and can't wait to return."

"Dear Brian, After deferring our fishing trip due to Montana flooding and later again for two bouts of pneumonia, we finally made it to Montana in early October and we were not disappointed with Montana's scenery or fly fishing. Miles, our fishing guide for two days did a great job teaching two neophytes while making fishing fun, exciting and productive. Additionally, Miles recognized that we were still fighting pneumonia and made appropriate adjustments to the fishing trip to make us comfortable and less taxing. We can strongly recommend Montana Angler for a first class fishing experience and Miles as a guide. The accommodations at Rainbow Ranch Lodge was also great. The management went out of their way to insure that we were comfortable and all our needs met. Where else could you find a comfortable cottage with wonderful views."

"Brian, Our fishing tips that we booked with you were outstanding. My kids and I had a great time. Our guides Chuck and Tony were professional, attentive, enjoyable and provided great instruction. They easily adjusted to 3 people with different levels of interest and experience in fly fishing, allowing all of us to really get the most out of the trips and enjoy the fishing in our own way. The rivers we went on were beautiful and we caught tons of fish. The overnight camping was a really fun time, great food and a relaxed atmosphere. The trip definitely met my expectation and we hope to come out and do it again. The Rainbow Ranch was a wonderful place to stay, we especially enjoyed being right on the river. Overall, you did a great job, from early planning figuring out what we wanted, to setting up all the pieces of the itinerary and then the guides were fantastic through out the trip. I had a few suggestions for the camping portion, pillows would make sleeping more comfortable, a flashlight or little lantern in the tents would be convenient and a small piece of indoor/outdoor carpet in front of the tent would keep the tents much cleaner. Thank you and hope to talk to you again for another trip!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and had a great learning experience with both Sean and Chuck. I concur with your assessment that they are some of the most knowledgeable guides in Montana. On my next fishing trip I will request them by name. They both have different teaching styles but were equally effective. They both loved fly fishing and their passion for teaching was obvious. On a 1-10 scale they were both 10s. Steve and Keith over at the Gallatin River Lodge could not have been nicer. The accommodations were everything I expected and more. They also have some of the prettiest ladies in Montana working there."
